My name is Marc Lampson. I created this website to celebrate my trip to Japan in the fall of 2024, a quarter century after my only prior trip to Japan. On my first visit, I went to Chiba, Tokyo, Nikko, and Kamakura. This time I went farther south from Tokyo, in the order listed in the navigation pane. It has taken me nearly two years to put this Japan site together; when I arrived home in 2024 it was mid-October and just two weeks later the U.S. Presidential election occurred. I think I spent the year thereafter so depressed that little work on this site went forward; I had done much of the work before leaving. Now that I am retiring from work, I am hoping to resume traveling and that has encouraged me to move this site forward - though not yet "finished" - to be able to move on to new adventures and sites.
