Chado

I studied the Way of Tea - Chado or Chanoyu - with the Seattle Branch of the Urasenke tradition, though I remained a perpetual beginner. Kyoto has long been one of the prime areas for growing tea in Japan and for the practice of the traditional tea ceremony. Though I took no photos, we attended a shortened tea ceremony at the Kyoto Handicraft Center.
